Current Projects:
Cash Mobs: The tourism and life committee has hosted several successful cash mobs this year. Cash mobs bring many people together at a local business who have pledged to spend at least $25 at that business. This provides a boost for the business’ bottom line, as well as brings community members together for a fun time!
Goals:
Goal 2: Historic Pittsfield attracts tourists and residents to visit the vibrant retail and dining district as well as enjoy a variety of historic and cultural attractions and activities.
Top 5 Strategies:
1. Develop a marketing plan to promote existing businesses, attractions, and activities
2. Create programs to make downtown more beautiful, restored, and accessible
3. Develop new attractions/facilities/entertainment options
4. Organize events and activities to attract and keep people in town
5. Develop an arts culture in Pittsfield (fine arts, theater, music, etc.)

Projects:
1. Organize a photo opportunity during Girls Night
2. Organize a Cash Mob
3. Develop a ‘First Fridays’ program
4. Create a cemetery tour with a smart phone app
5. Draft a community profile and calendar
6. Update community website
7. Develop an instagram worthy mural
8. Organize a ‘Taste of Pittsfield’ event
